JetBlue Carry On Baggage Policy

One of the major low-cost airlines from America, JetBlue Airways is the seventh-largest North American airline when it comes to the number of passengers carried. With over 100 destinations, JetBlue operates 1000+ flights on a daily basis. If you are going to be flying with JetBlue Airways to one of these destinations, it is important to familiarize yourself with its various policies. In this blog, we provide details on JetBlue Carry On Baggage Policy. So, here’s what you need to know.

Let’s talk about the carry-on baggage policy for Blue, Blue Extra, Blue Plus, and Mint fares. For these fares, passengers will be allowed to have one carry-on bag and one personal item onboard the flight. The personal item can include things like Laptop, Briefcase, Purse, etc. There are two places on the flight where you can place your carry-on baggage. You can do so either in the overhead bin or underneath the seat in front of the passenger. JetBlue states that the passenger is fully responsible for these carry-on items and the airline has no liability for the carry-on property of the customer.

If you are traveling with the Basic Blue Fares, you will also be allowed to have one personal item onboard the flight. It must be able to fit under the seat in front of you. The Basic Blue Fares passengers cannot bring a carry-on bag with them onboard the flight. For more details on this, you can visit the JetBlue Airways Official Site.

Talking about the size restrictions for carry-on baggage, baggage to be stowed in the overhead bin must not be over 22" L x 14" W x 9" H (this includes wheels and handles). For personal items, the maximum size limit is 17" L x 13" W x 8" H. As of now, there are no weight restrictions for JetBlue carry-on baggage. The passenger is advised to make sure that your baggage isn’t too heavy to not be able to lift and stowed in the overhead bin.

Passengers can also bring any assistive devices, any special items like an umbrella or coat, one diaper bag (if you have a lap infant), and any duty-free items, in addition to one carry-on bag and personal item.
